Gardens of the Frick Collection

Explore the Frick’s three historic garden spaces with Maeve Turner, Head of Gardens and Horticulture at The Frick Collection, and garden designer Lynden B. Miller. The tour will begin in the Fifth Avenue Garden before heading inside to see the historic Garden Court. The group will then visit the new Ian Wardropper Education Room, which provides views overlooking the 70th Street Garden, Russell Page’s 1977 viewing garden. This garden was removed during the museum’s recent renovation to create new public spaces underneath, then reinstalled and restored to Page’s original design by Lynden, in partnership with Beyer Blinder Belle and MPFP. Maeve will share the history of each garden, including archival photographs, and explore how these beloved green spaces enhance the museum experience today. Museum admission and lunch included at the Frick Café.

Please note that this tour provides three different views of the 70th Street Garden, but does not enter it, according to Russell Page’s intentions.
