About

Two main factors influenced the design of this garden: the many micro climates present and the distinct architecture of the home. The house is an A. Quincy Jones designed Eichler home built in 1955 as part of the WWII housing boom. These houses are known for their modern architecture including floor to ceiling windows that face the garden in the rear of the home. The lot is a double lot, quite large for the Suburban neighborhood (0.42 acres). There are many mature trees on the property as well as expanses exposed to all day sun.

This Garden Host reports the following Terrain Notes about the garden: The garden is primarily gravel so wear flat shoes. Unfortunately, while the ground is fairly level, it is difficult to traverse with walkers and wheelchairs.
